Greetingssss! *

I’m so glad you’re here! I am on a quest to help promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) through speaking and via my science fiction books. My goal is to open people’s minds to science. When we demystify science and make it accessible, we unleash invention, creativity, and innovation!

I write science fiction, and share stories about my life as an engineer and geek to help promote a love of science, and remove barriers to help encourage the next generation to turn into scientists and engineers.

If you haven’t yet, sign up for my new newsletter over on Substack!

Need something to watch? Want to learn a little about science and science fiction? Watch me participate in some great discussions over on YouTube.

( * Why all the extra ‘s’ in my Greetingssss? Read Book 1 of The Robot Galaxy series to find out! )

About the 6 pictures up at top, from left to right:

  1. That’s me at a local reading of one of my short science fiction stories
  2. Just hanging out in the kitchen in my R2D2 shirt. What you don’t see is that on the counter by my elbow is the BB-8 cake I had just finished making for my kiddo’s birthday
  3. Random silly selfie out in the backyard
  4. Me and my dad. The year was about 1976 or so. This was before society was all like “thou must encourage all young girls into STEM!” This was more just my engineer of a dad playing with tinker toys with his first born because that was his thing and it became my thing…
  5. I had the opportunity to see Sierra Space’s Dream Chaser at their facility in Colorado
  6. 1984 or so? My dad had just got a new computer, an IBM 8088. Me and my little bro used the box to create our own computer. He would go around the back. I would press a peg with a letter. He’d see that letter and stick a construction paper version through a slit in the “screen.” I miss the days when all we played with were cardboard boxes and construction paper…
